Merry Christmas!

I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! It's been a busy holiday season and will be nice to have a bit of a break over the next week. I'm so blessed and so very grateful for how everything is going and I'd like to thank everyone who has giving me a chance to photograph their children over this past year while I learn and grow my business. I'm already booking up for January, and am so excited to see where 2009 will take me. I look forward to continuing to capture your children as they grow and change, and look forward to starting on that journey with many more of you.

I'll leave you with the first go at our family Christmas card. We didn't end up using this one, but I thought it was too cute not to share. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and a very Merry Christmas. I'm looking forward to working with you all in the new year!

Kyle 6 Months – Sneak Peek

Little Kyle was back for more! My 2nd Newborn has turned into quite the adorable 6 month old. He’s so cute and such a good little guy. I can’t believe how big he has gotten and he’s sitting up so well. I’m sure he’ll be crawling in no time. I absolutely loved his little cashmere outfit that was a gift to his mommy before he was born. He looked so cute and cuddly it made me want to just squeeze him! Thanks so much for coming over Aimee, I hope you and Scott love the outcome. I hope to get him back for his 1 year smash cake session!

Jager & Berlin – Sneak Peek

My brother and sister in law came down yesterday for a photoshoot with their new German Shepherd puppies Jager & Berlin. We got rained out about 30 minutes into our shoot, but it was just enough time to get a few good family shots. The dogs were just beautiful and very well behaved and although they were worried it would be a disaster it actually went really well. I must say that a photoshoot with 2 dogs is still easier than a shoot with a child any day! Violet & Wright – Sneak Peek

I’m so excited that I FINALLY got a chance to have a session with my best friend’s kiddos. Leah and I have been best friends since we were 11 and have remained close and lived near each other since then. I’ve been bugging her to bring Violet & Wright over for the past few months, but I think she was just waiting for me to get my new camera in! (More about that later.) If you know Leah’s kids you know that they have a serious side to them which was just perfect for a beautiful B&W so I was really happy to be able to capture that side of them as well. Anyway, it was such an honor to do this and I hope you love them Leah!

The B Family – Sneak Peek

I just finished proofing the 2nd family session I did this past weekend. I headed over to the lake with the B family and there was beautiful lighting before sunset. Their son Braden is a year and a half and such a cute little guy. He was so serious, but I did manage to get a few smiles out of him. He wanted to just run and explore and I had a great time chasing him around and capturing this beautiful family. Kelli is expecting and due in May and I can’t wait for the opportunity to do a newborn shoot when he/she arrives. Enjoy your sneak peek guys!

B/P/O Family Session – Sneak Peek

I got the chance to try out my photography skills on my friend Katie and her sister Aimee’s newborns a few months back. I knew I would love newborn photography and Megan and Kyle will always hold a special place in my heart. They were my first 2 newborns and gave me the opportunity to do the type of photography I had always wanted to do. When they contacted me to see if I would be interested in doing a family session for Holiday photos I was more than happy to do so. They welcomed me into their parent’s home and we did a shoot right in the backyard. It was a beautiful property and I wish we had gotten to take advantage of more of it.
